The bed in our room was uncomfortable, leaning to one side, difficult to sleep. The service was disappointing as our room was not properly cleaned during our two-night stay. We ran out of toilet paper and had to use tissues. On the second night, the food quality decreased significantly, and my wife even found a sharp plastic shard in her dessert, alarming.

The bed leaned alarmingly to one side!!! Room servicing left much to be desired, with toiletries not restocked and wet towels draped over the rail. The kettle placement was utterly inconvenient, requiring a makeshift setup!!!

The bed in the room slanted alarmingly. Breakfast hours limited to just an hour-if you want a bite, be an early riser or risk missing out. Despite my attempts to make a cup of coffee, the kettle's location on the chest of drawers created a slight hassle, since there wasn't a nearby socket. No replenished toiletries after two nights and unluckily wet towels left hanging. The second night's meal didn't hold up compared to the first, with the unfortunate addition of finding a piece of sharp plastic in dessert-a potential risk that deserves a mention.

A great experience celebrating our anniversary, with cute hosts and homemade shortbread in the room. The dinner with local dishes was high quality, and breakfast was generous and well-presented. The tranquil countryside setting provided a peaceful night's sleep despite having dog-friendly accommodations next door. Wi-Fi worked well, although phone signal was weak, typical for the area.

It was a well-suited match for a walk in the evening in Barnstaple with good price-quality ratio. The meal on the first night was really tasty and made us want to come back for more. Be prepared for limited breakfast hours if you're not an early riser.

Fantastic Stay with Dog-Friendly Hospitality
We had a wonderful two-night stay with our dog, who was treated like royalty by the staff! The room was spacious and cozy, complemented by little extra touches. Breakfast was good, with perfectly cooked options, while dinner was so nice with a sumptuous meal. The atmosphere in the bar was also inviting, showcasing the warm local hospitality. The kettle placement in the room was a bit inconvenient.

Charming stay with wonderful dining experience
The room was spacious and cozy with homemade shortbread and fresh milk. I particularly enjoyed the generous breakfast, beautifully presented and filled with fresh fruits and hearty options. The staff were friendly. One minor improvement could be better placement of the kettle in the room for convenience.
